A Toast to Connection: MHH Summer Happy Hour Recap
What a night! On Thursday, May 15, the Mile High Hosts community came together at RiNo Beer Garden for a fun-filled evening of connection, laughter, and shared stories under the early summer sky.
With cold drinks in hand and light bites, the community vibe was high. Familiar faces reunited, new friendships blossomed, and meaningful conversations sparked across the patio. From heartfelt host stories to the playful bingo card competition of our low-key mixer, it was a reminder of what makes our community so special: we show up for each other.
This happy hour wasn’t just a kickoff to summer—it was a celebration of the heart behind what we’re all about. We also had the joy of introducing our new MHH board, whose dedication and vision are helping shape the future of our host community here in Denver.
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and to our event sponsors—Good Neighbor Realty, Zero Homes, Airbnb, and AirSimplicity—for making it all possible.
📸 Photos from the event are now live in the MHH Member Portal!
If you’re not a member yet… what are you waiting for? Join us today and be part of something that feels like home.
With gratitude,

As a captain, you’ll help keep our community informed about local STR issues, connect with nearby hosts, and make sure your city has a voice.
It’s a meaningful way to step up—and you don’t need to be a policy expert to do it.

Basalt’s Bold Move: Short-Term Rental Fee Targets Affordable Housing Crisis
In a decisive 4–3 vote, Basalt’s Town Council approved a $2,532 per-bedroom annual fee on short-term rentals, aiming to generate $100,000 annually for affordable housing initiatives. Set to take effect in 2026, the fee has sparked debate among residents, with supporters viewing it as a necessary step toward preserving community housing, while opponents raise concerns about its impact on local homeowners. The ordinance reflects Basalt’s commitment to addressing housing affordability amid growing pressures from the short-term rental market.
